The 404.jodi.org.blaster allowed to write vowels into jodi’s Message-Board. The message board seperates consonants and vowels from all messages and displays them on different pages so most expressions become unreadable.
At the time (1998) I didn’t agree with the subtext of this art piece and decided to write a simple script that converted vowels into numeric HTML entities. Like this, jodi’s script didn’t recognize them as vowels and therefore didn’t seperate them from the consonants: communication was possible again. But after some weeks jodi found out about this cheap trick and startet looking for entities also.
